Here’s an affordable and simple to maintain single-speed conversion. There is rust on the metal parts, but the frame itself seems to be rust-free. Take a look through the photo album to judge for yourself, or come take a look at it in person. I consider the rusty bits a natural theft deterrent, and they also help put this bike at a lower price range. The wider tires are also a nice feature which will add more comfort versus a narrower tire.
PS: There was a typo in the previous version of this post where the seat-tube was listed as 58cm, but this bike is in fact a 56cm.
